How we started:

LSU Tarrant Tigers Alumni Chapter started in the summer of 2005.  Linda Taylor and Daniel Marler met and discussed the need for an alumni Chapter and alumni events on the west side of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.  As you probably already know there exists a successful Dallas Chapter, and while we do maintain separate memberships, it is our wish to work together on future events and projects.

After researching and contacting other LSU grads in the area, with the assistance of the Alumni Association, the first meeting and football watch party was held in Arlington, TX at the Rawlings All American Sports Grille (no longer there).  The small, but enthusiastic group watched the tigers beat Arizona State in an exciting come from behind win. The first officers and board members were nominated and a new chapter was born!  We have since moved our football watch parties to the Fox & Hound located in SW Fort Worth/Cityview (6051 SW Loop 820, Ste 322).

We  have saw a steady increase in attendance to our football watch parties throughout the 2005 season.  During the October 22nd game vs. Auburn, we started a new tradition of celebrating Mike the Tiger's birthday with a purple and gold decorated  cake.  The new LSU Tarrant Tigers Alumni Chapter consists of a wide range of LSU grads and fans, everything from engineers, realtors, architects, nurses, computer programmers, to everything in between.  It is our wish to offer an environment where LSU supporters of all ages can come together and build a fun chapter with many events for you and your family.  Our very first annual Crawfish Boil was held in the spring of 2006 and was a great success!  Prior to the beginning of the 2006 football season we had a barbeque dinner to welcome back members.  Our first annual members only Fish Fry is scheduled for June of 2007.  A new slate of officers has been elected in the spring of 2007 and they are listed below.  Pay Pal has been added to the membership page of this website making it even easier for individuals to join and the ticket exchange page has now been activated.

Please take time to review our website, leave comments in the guest book, and if you are interested in visiting with other people that know the meaning behind "tiger bait!" and bleed purple and gold than we invite you to join our chapter.

Purpose of this chapter:
